OUR REGION : L'Occitanie

The Occitanie region, on south of France, emulates an amphitheatre basked in sunshine around the Mediterranean sea.

 It’s known to offer many delightful and varied sites with :

150 miles of coastlines, backed by vast plainsstretching between the Rhône and the Pyrenean mountains, edged by hills and wild scrublandssculptured in terraces harbouring vyneyards (labels of Pic Saint Loup, Grès of Montpellier, Faugères, Minervois, Corbières, Fitou, Costières du Gard, Muscats de Frontignan, Lunel, Rivesaltes, St Jean De Minerois, Blanquette de Limoux, ..) and olive groves, and beyond a variety of mountains well suited for trecking skiing (Pyrénées Orientales, Aude).

Regional Capital  of  Hérault (34th administrative division of France), Montpellier is constantly growing, both on the demographic and economic sectors. For these reasons,  Montpellier was called »La Surdouée » (exceptionnaly gifted)https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montpellier

A large student population (70 000), with various nationalities, a high cultural activity, a privileged  mediterranean climate , a very good location, between sea and mountains, Spain and Italy, and famous medical infrastructures,  arouse a growing interest for an external population.

  • Between 2007 and 2012, according to the INSEE (National Institute of statistic and economic studies), Montpellier knew the strongest population growth of the main towns of France (+1 %) more than Paris and Lyon. The region would be  2nd the most attractive in France after Corsica.
    · Rich in its history of which the historic center called “Ecusson” is a testimony , this city builds its present and its future, however, on the modernity, with an open and innovative architecture, whether it is in districts renovated or completely created as Port Marianne, New Saint Roch or Grisettes.
    · With its tramway lines, its airport, the creations of new main and motorway highways, its new TGV line and stationallowing an even better connection with Paris (3.00 hours), it masters its development and protects the quality of life which is its attraction.

    And this attractiveness acts on individuals, working people, students or retired people, but also on investors and firms, which are welcomed within nests of companies or quality places.
